    Sustainable Development Goals

The 2016 Global Issues Summit will center around the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which outline 5 major areas to be improved by 2030: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership.

    Global Issues Summit

The Global Issues Summit (GIS) is an initiative started by former academy student Karim Farishta in 2012 with the intent to spread awareness about global issues to students in the community. Each year's theme aims to educate the public about a certain aspect of global issues through listening to a variety of speakers who will speak about a vast range of topics. Archives containing pictures and other media from past Summits can be found here. For students wanting to earn extra credit for attending the Summit, see below (note that all students should verify with their teachers that this is the correct assignment for their class since specific assignments may differ from teacher to teacher).EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT
